Calibrations

Sustainable change requires more than understanding.

It requires enough time, attention, and space for a new internal organization to become possible.

That is what a Calibration is.

We step away from the noise — not to escape life, but to hear it more clearly.

For four full days, we create the conditions in which your nervous system can settle, your attention can deepen, and deeper reorganization becomes possible.

Some work cannot happen through isolated conversations or within the pace of ordinary life. It takes uninterrupted time for attention to settle, familiar patterns to become visible, and a different way of relating to yourself to begin taking shape.

The first part of the Calibration is about arriving. Slowing down. Listening. Allowing the noise to dissipate.

Only then does the deeper work begin.

There is no fixed schedule. There are only offers.

Walks through the island.

Conversations.

Meditation.

Symbolic exercises.

Time alone.

Time together.

Shared meals.

Learning.

Silence.

Individual work.

The rhythm follows the work, not the clock.

Nothing is compulsory. Everything is intentional.

Throughout the Calibration, I hold the field. My role is not to direct your experience. It is to create and steward the conditions in which the work can emerge naturally, while paying close attention to what is unfolding — individually and collectively.

São Jorge is part of that work. Its volcanic landscape, vast horizons, powerful ocean, and deep silence invite a different quality of attention.

The island asks for presence. Again and again, it brings people back into their bodies and holds them there long enough for something deeper to reorganize.

People often leave feeling clearer. Braver. More deeply connected to themselves. Because they have experienced what coherence feels like in their own body.

Once you know that experience, you can begin to recognize it again in everyday life.

The work does not end when the Calibration finishes. In many ways, that is where it begins.

Is a Calibration for you?

A Calibration may be a good fit if you would like to:

  • step away from external and internal noise
  • experience a deeper level of attention than everyday life usually allows
  • reorganize how you relate to yourself, your decisions, and your relationships
  • reconnect with your own sense of coherence through direct experience
  • integrate change rather than simply understand it
